From five miles away at Corriemulzie above River Dee, the "Laird's Tablecoth" snow patch can be seen high on Ear-choire Sneachdach (east snowy corrie) of Beinn a' Bhuird on 18 September 1983. On this date the corrie held six snow patches, Laird's Tablecloth being largest at over 50 m long. (Adam Watson).
