Always keen to hear local news items NEMT was interested to receive a letter and site plans from Braemar Community Council regarding the planned replacement of the "telegraph pole bridge" over the Cairnwell Burn at the foot of the Sron na Gaoithe. A quick check of the OS Landranger 43 (Grid Ref 148798) will show you this is to the north of the A93 on the Blair Atholl side of the Glen Shee Ski Lift Centre.
We are advised this professional standard bridge will cost the princely sum of £ 18,050 and that this level of funding has been successfully sourced. NEMT is happy to support this initiative as it does not impact the long walk in and will serve to minimise the damage to the local areas around the burn.
