Draft Itinerary

10am - 12noon Stag Ballroom
Coffee and Tea Welcome;
Introduction to the Estate by Mar Lodge Senior Management;
Overview of NEMT's aims and aspirations by NEMT Chairman
12noon - 4pm Selected Tour of the Estate
A good walk leaving from Mar Lodge building and doubtless adjusted to suit weather on the day. Delegates are asked to bring along their own packed lunch.
4pm - 5pm Back to the Bar
Yes, once again the wonderful old copper chimney-ed open fire will be lit and we can all have a yarn. Delegates will be welcomed to some tea and coffee. We will have to leave it to our imagination to hear the pints being pulled, the smell of the damp tweeds - but aye the reek of the wood smoke from the open fire will surely be there for you ......
FOOTNOTE ONE:
The aim of A Day Out with NEMT is to get a good crowd of old and new faces together, have a good day out and all learn something. To this end we request that everyone who supports our work takes it on themselves to bring along at least one new face with them.
FOOTNOTE TWO:
NEMT is aware of the current debate concerning deer management on Mar Lodge Estate. As one of the topics, this will be addressed and conflicting issues identified in balance with the rest of the day. Antler locking of opposing views will not be encouraged.
FOOTNOTE THREE:
More by accident than design, this event is to take place the night after the Annual Ghillies Ball in the Stag Ball Room and tickets are available from Mar Lodge. For the adventurous there is limited number of places for overnight accommodation on the Saturday night, both in the Base Camp adjacent to the Lodge and in the Top Floor of the Lodge. Interested parties can contact Mar Lodge themselves to book Ball Tickets and or Accommodation for the Saturday.
