David Jarman - a geomorphologist and mountaineer of Mountain Landform Research has studied extensively the structuring of the mountain ranges in Scotland and Northern Europe, writing widely in both mountaineering and academic journals about events such as rock slope failures and glacial breaches which can be seen on the Scottish mountains.
