Cherishing Scotland's Wild Places - the Work of the John Muir Trust

Nigel Hawkins

Scotland's wild places are more appreciated now than ever before. The John Muir Trust was set up to safeguard and care for Scotland's diminishing wild land and to reverse the loss of wild places. For these are the places where humans can be as close to the natural world as possible and experience the great spiritual tranquillity and beauty of wilderness.

Nigel Hawkins - A founder and for 13 years chief executive of the Trust, tells the story of the Trust's work and gives his perspective on the major issues threatening Scotland's wild land today.
