A Quality Future for Mountaineers and Hill-Walkers

Peter Craig

Scotland’s Mountains - Why Are They There?

This presentation by Peter Craig will reveal the origins of Scotland’s hills & mountains as worked out from the rocks that form them. Some have an immensely long, complex & surprising history; others are younger & easier to interpret. All bear witness to relatively recent glacial activity. Peter is a geologist & teacher who enjoys any opportunity to share the story of Scotland’s remarkable geological past.
